11/11-12 Cake Decorating Series Ticket

Join Blythe Forman, owner of Cakes by Blythe, for an immersive two-part cake decorating workshop designed to give you the skills and confidence to create beautiful cakes at home.

Over two evenings, Blythe will walk you through the fundamentals of cake decorating. You’ll learn how to work with different icing consistencies, color buttercream, properly fill and use piping bags, and create classic decorations including lines, dots, shells, rosettes, leaves, and borders.

November 11th / 6pm: Week One will focus on the foundations of cake decorating. Blythe will demonstrate three icing consistencies before covering cooling, leveling, filling, stacking, and icing a cake. You’ll then learn how to color icing, prepare your piping bags, and practice essential piping techniques.

November 12th / 6pm: Week Two is where you’ll put it all together. After a quick review and troubleshooting session, you’ll fill, ice, and decorate your own 6-inch, two-layer cake using the techniques you learned in the first class. You’ll have plenty of time to practice, personalize your design, and finish with a cake you’ll be proud to take home.

Each participant will receive a cake decorating kit with everything you need for the class included in the cost of the ticket! ($150 value)

• 6" cake pans

At the end of the class, you will also be given 10% off any purchase made the same day! (Some exclusions apply) 

Please note: Participants will need to bring their own 6-inch cakes to the second class. Specific cake preparation instructions will be provided before the class.
