11/11 Sourdough 101 Ticket

Curious about sourdough but not sure where to start, or maybe you’ve tried it and still have questions? This relaxed, casual class is all about taking the pressure out of sourdough. Join instructor Lyndsey McDermott for a beginning class covering everything you need to know from your very first starter to a beautiful, freshly baked loaf.

We’ll walk through the entire process together, from feeding your starter to pulling a beautiful loaf from the oven. I’ll have dough at several different stages so you can see, touch, smell, and work with it along the way.

We’ll talk about starter care, mixing and fermentation, stretch and folds, shaping, scoring, baking, and most importantly, how to tell what your dough is actually doing.

Ask as many questions as you’d like, get your hands in the dough if you want to, or simply grab a seat and watch. I’ll bake a loaf from start to finish while we talk through the process, troubleshoot common problems, and share plenty of sourdough tips along the way.

No experience necessary. Come ready to learn, ask questions, and leave feeling like sourdough doesn’t have to be complicated.
